Integrating the amBIENT XC with a CueServer
The amBIENT XC can be connected to a CueServer via RS232.
The connections should be as follows:

The CueServer Admin application should be used to configure the CueServer to output amBIENT XC RS232 Protocol strings (see the amBIENT XC RS232 Protocol document from our website) for cues or triggers.
For example, suppose we want to control the XC mode using DMX. The CueServer could be set up as follows
Access the CueServer from your web browser and go to the "Triggers" page and select "DMX Input Triggers"
When DMX channel 1 exceeds 127 the Initialise message is sent to the XC, similarly channel 2 triggers the Connect message, channel 3 the mode change – in this case setting the XC to mode 5, channel 4 triggers the disconnect message which returns the XC to front-panel control.
