IKKI is one of Luxembourg’s most stylish venues located in the new entertainment district Rue Emile Mousel. Spread over two floors, IKKI offers a restaurant on the first floor and a lounge bar on the ground level.

The open plan ground floor is split into three areas: DJ booth and inner entrance, main square bar and a smaller back area bar. The two bars consist of cove LED lighting in the ceiling, illuminated bottle displays and feature large square cut-outs behind which Pulsar panels are placed, while the DJ area has similar lighting with the addition of ceiling mounted MR16 light fixtures by the bar entrance.

IKKI’s installation was handled by Serutrade who initially wanted a solution for interactive and dynamic colour changes to music throughout the daytime as well as automatic audio to light effects when the DJ was playing.

The amBIENT XC’s audio to light feature created a fresh and dynamic experience in the lounge bar. This also provided new automatic lighting control options for the DJ over pre-programmed e-cue effects that had to be selected and configured mid set. A range of amBX Modes were installed including slow, gentle greens and orange colour rolls on dramatic audio changes to vibrant multicolour displays.

The ambient light feature also offered something for the chill-out crowd with Modes such as Monsoon creating a “raining-in” colour effect throughout the bar and Metro providing dynamic colour shifts and rising colour sways. All of the ambient Modes can take advantage of the space to produce incredible lighting movements at a single touch of the amBIENT XC screen.
